Chimankpam Wilson was born and raised in Nigeria.  After completing high-school he furthered his studies in Nigeria in the art of shoe manufacturing and design.  After completing his training in 2004 he established his label (Pilawil Shoes) and over a period of ten years, his brand gained popularity in the Nigerian market and grew to become one of the leading local shoe labels.

Due to his passion for education and learning, Chimankpam sold his business and moved to Malaysia to further his studies and obtained a Diploma in Business Management. While in Malaysia he also worked as an administrator and general coordinator at Rehoboth Bible Church. Because of his commitment and good service, he was later promoted to Assistant Pastor. In this capacity, he helped organize outreach, taught, implemented programs and seminars, provided spiritual and personal counsel to members, ran charity events, and helped motivate and encourage the congregation.  When church growth led to the establishment of a second Parish in another city, he was the main point person for the new church operations, handling daily bookkeeping, payment of bills and salaries, management of new volunteers, hiring of new pastoral staff, and assisting with the leading of services.
